I didn't believe that red bass hooks could show good results, but over the past summer friend of my have found that red hook ups on crank baits went way up after hi started changing out the front hook and putting on a larger red hook. With the added red when they strike now 90% of his fish have both hooks stuck in it's face and mouth where as before about 80% of the strikes only had the back hook. Hi all so started changing both hooks to red with top water lures such as chugbugs and pop-R's.
Be careful with red hooks because they can be made from the different metal and it can effect when fish strikes. If you are going to use red hooks, you have to choose very good and quality hooks like Matzou.
Treble red bass hooks are used for fishing. People like to change them on their crank baits and top water baits. If you are doing pitching or flipping don’t use red hooks. As I told they are not that strong for a good hook set.
I really like that hooks and experiment with them when I fish the bass. Red bass hooks should be in every fishing box.

Plastic worms bass fishing
It's getting hot... and without a doubt piers (wood Structure) lay downs and stumps will be holding fish on a shallow pattern. Drop to 5kg test line, 2/0 hooks and 1/4 oz wts or less.. even in the middle of the day bass are there and will hit if not spooked by the big baits and the 10 pound line will let you feel them even look at it! Try Texass Rig...spit on the worm before casting.
I would try that but if you are a dipper your should think that the bass would like a SKOAL flavored worm! But If you have heard a lot of "experienced" fishermen tell me that since you started fishing a long time ago. It has something to do with the composition of saliva and how the fish react to it or something like that.

Bass Fishing Lures.
It is very important to choose correct bass lure. Your success depends on that. Bass lure choice depends on many factors. One of the most important is the place where bass is hiding. The design of the bass lures imitates the source of a bass food and they also designed for a specific environment. The choice of the correct food imitation and place is the winning combination.
If you know that bass are holding deep, you need a deep water lure which can work without hang ups. At the same time a lure should correspond to the appetite of the bass. Bellow I have a list of the bass lures by category and when and where to fish them. Enjoy!
1. Propeller baits
The bait is very noisy and attracts attantion of the bass. Very good for stained or dirty water.
2. Stick baits
Use it in shallow water. Work it slowly. It will be easy target for a Bass.
3. Jerk baits
Use that lure in clean water where bass fidding shallow.
4. Suspending Crank Bait
Allows you to dive the lure in the desired depth. Bass will attack when you stop the lure.
Deep diving Crank bait you have to use when the Bass in the bigger depth. it is about 2 - 3 metres.
5. Worms
5.1 Double-hook work - use it in clean areas, away from brush, trees, or other cover that would snag on the open-hook.
5.2 Texas-Style Worm - The key to the Texas Rig Worm is the hook is buried into the body of the soft plastic worm. It is weedless and can be worked through and over most cover without getting hung up. Twitch it, crawl it, pause it - give it life to tease a bass into biting!
5.3 Jig head worms. - Use Jig Head worm in open areas like double hook worm.
Now you can orientate in lures and use correct bass fishing lures.

I saw a lot of forums, blogs where people ask "When to start bass fishing?" There are a lot of patterns about bass fishing, but the most popular time is when outside are bright sunny days. If to consider Cyprus as the bass fishing place, I can tell that there a lot of sunny days, but most popular for bass fishing are May, and starting from September. The windy weather can switch the Bass off. They don't like it. More better if there is no wind out side. It is ideal conditions for bass fishing.
If to consider rainy weather I can tell that Bass is very light sensitive fish. When bass doesn't fill light he starts hunting, because he is less noticeable.
